講述男孩亞當被診斷患有精神分裂癥，他去到壹所新學校就讀，開始服用新藥，壹開始效果看起來很不錯，不過很快真相大白，他被迫做出壹些艱難的決定。羅素飾演亞當的夢中情人瑪雅，羅伯飾演麗貝卡，是亞當幻覺中的主要角色，作為他不能表達的情緒的管道。Nick Naveda編寫劇本，基於Julia Walton所著同名小說，Mickey Liddell＆Pete Shilaimon(《第壹夫人》《類人猿行動》)制片。
