嚴正聲明

因各界對本人及對本人所屬補習社之憑空猜度，而導致令本年度部分會考應考生及本人之學生有所不安之「Paper 1A Extended Learning事件」，現本人作出以下澄清：

1. 因工作關係，本人熟讀考評局曾發表之所有刊物，並有深入的了解。其中，去年（2007年）考評局採用「新考試制度」後，於2007年10月作公開售賣之“Exam Report and Question Papers”所包含之首個（亦是最新的一個）考試報告的第130頁第3段中指出：
“In this regard, it may be pertinent to make a comment regarding incorporating material from the reading passages for Paper 1A into this writing task. The writing paper is linked by theme to the passages in the reading paper. Candidates may, therefore, be able to use some of the information that they remember from the passages in their writing. Doing so in a relevant and original manner does not constitute memorization. Regurgitating large chunks of that information without tailoring it to the demands of the task is quite a different matter, however.”

2. 應考評局指引，全港英文科老師均理應已熟讀此2007年考試報告，並根據報告指引學生兩卷之間的關係，以及其正確運用和準備之方法。

3. 試前有友人聯絡本人問到有否興趣透過電話網絡平台提供資料及專業意見，以協助會考生作Paper 1A試後重溫英文生字，從而「可能」有助考生於Paper 1B（作文）一卷作最後之試前溫習。應考評局多年來呼籲會考生應改善「串錯字」及「生字貧乏」的問題，本人本著以幫助學生為出發點及義務協助友人為教育事業出一分力，故有關服務只由電話網絡商收取基本之服務運作費用，並根本未曾討論過電話網絡商在扣除運作成本後，可能餘下而極有限之收益應如何處理。

4. 據了解，友人為免任何誤導成分，其宣傳資料從來只聲稱是Paper 1A之「延續學習」（Extended Learning），亦無於任何途徑發表過此服務「能絕對有助學生應考Paper 1B」或「為存心預測試題」之任何字眼，實際情況一如所有老師於課堂或網上之試後解題形式一樣。「考試貼士」、「試題外洩」等字眼全為報界未經證實之憑空猜度。

5. 重申，本人於Paper 1A試後才得悉試卷內容，並從完全正確及合法的渠道獲得資料來源，執法部門如有需要，可提供充分證據。

6. 另外，於Paper 1A試後數分鐘所提供之英文生字，純粹出於本人及本人之「教學團隊」對會考英文卷之熟悉及運用英語之能力，部分更從本人已分類之生字庫中轉貼。

7. 本人提供予友人之資料純粹出於本人對Paper 1A試卷文章部分生字的記憶及多年來自己對常用字之認識。而熟讀版權法後，本人相信所提供之資料並無任何觸犯版權條例，而生字有用與否視乎考生之英語掌握能力，亦切合現時考試之要求。

8. 對於部分傳媒及任何機構的指控及網上的惡意中傷，本人保留從法律途徑追究一切對個人及對現代教育名譽上損失之權利。另外，如執法部門有需要徹查事件，本人亦十分樂意提供有關資料，以解決公眾因被部分傳媒誤導而產生的不安，並希望有關當局正視有關問題。

9. 本人對部分傳媒作未經證實之「指控式」報導，而引起考生恐慌及間接對現代教育產生之不便深表遺憾。本人認為整件事件純為誤會，亦相信是對「新考試制度」未有充分了解之人士作出無根據之發表下而產生。

10. 最後本人祝願全港中五會考生順利完成考試。
